Click-to-call through Omnimed

 

To make call management easier and faster, Omnimed can be combined with an IP telephony system that allows click-to-dial calls to be placed from the EMR. It is thus possible to click directly on the phone number of the patient or a resource in the directory to make a call. Calling has never been easier!

What is IP telephony?

In IP telephony (VoIP), your telephone line is connected directly to your high-speed Internet access rather than to a landline. This telephony system is flexible and more affordable than traditional telephone service.

Advantages of IP telephony with Omnimed

  • No phone required, ideal for teleworking;
  • Manage calls from the Chrome browser;
  • View calls on-screen via the incoming call pop-up window;
  • Click-to-dial from Omnimed! This includes patient search, Administrative center, clinical note, task, and Resources directory;
  • Saves time for administrative staff in telephone communications with patients and for caregivers in telephone appointments.

Placing a call via Omnimed

To make a call, simply click on the phone number you wish to reach from one of the following locations:

  1. Patient search;
  2. Administrative center;
  3. Clinical note's visualization;
  4. Patient task;
  5. The Directory.

Compatibles systems

  • If you already have an IP telephony provider, click-to-dial is potentially already functional. Ask your provider if he offers the click-to-dial functionality to be sure. However, we cannot guarantee compatibility with Omnimed, as we have not been able to test all the solutions available on the market. If the one-click call is already functional with your current provider, please let us know! We would like to share this with other clinics by offering them several choices.
  • If you do not have an IP telephony provider at this time and are interested in this technology and its functionalities, we invite you to contact Bravad, whose compatibility with Omnimed has been tested and confirmed.
