To cancel an invoice in the Private billing module, the total amount of the invoice is credited, leaving an accounting trace.
⚠️ Only administrator account holders have access to the credit function. To find out who this is, please refer to the clinic manager.
Here are the steps to follow to credit an invoice:
- Access the Private billing module from the Patient Administration Center.
- Search for the invoice from the History section, either via the search bar (search by date, type, number, company, third-party payer or total amount associated with the invoice) or via the invoice list, sorting by column (sort by date, type, number, company, third-party payer, total).
- Click on an invoice in the list to display its contents and action buttons.
- Click on the Modify button at the bottom of the invoice.
- Click on the Credit button at the bottom of the invoice. The amount displayed corresponds to the invoice total.
- Click on the Credit button to save the credit note. The credit is documented in the Credit notes section.
Notes on credit date
- It is possible to credit an invoice in a closed accounting period, but the credit date must be in the current accounting period.
- Once the invoice has been credited, it is only possible to modify the credit date from the Credit notes section. The same rules apply to date selection.
